AtomEco'2013 To Include Panel Discussion "Processing Nuclear Waste Products as Safety Strategy of Choice"

The panel will discuss various approaches to radioactive waste management strategies as one of the safest ways of safe management of radioactive waste: panel discussion moderators believe that processing (not burial or storage) is the safest and most effective way of managing radioactive waste.

The panel will view this issue from several points of view: (а) radioactive equivalency of nuclear waste buried in the ground; (b) providing for long-term safety; (c) economic efficiency; (d) taking care of future generations, etc. Additionally, the panel will examine the current state of affairs and future development programs of radioactive waste management at leading Russian enterprises.

The panel discussion will be a part of the business program of AtomEco'2013, 7th International Forum.
